Rockstar has been teasing the next iteration of the Red Dead series all week (the last, Red Dead Redemption, is one of Sam’s favorite games of all time). And they finally released a trailer! It’s more of a teaser, really, but it looks gorgeous and that’s actual PS4 gameplay footage.

Speaking of video games (and sorry to bury the lede): NEW NINTENDO SYSTEM! We’ve known about its existence for awhile, but it officially launched as the Nintendo Switch, with a snappy trailer that highlights mobility. No idea how much it’ll cost or what games will be available at launch, but this is the first Nintendo system Sam’s been kind of interested in owning since the Wii.

And Civilization VI is out today! Sam is still playing Civ V, but she knows a lot of people who are probably pretty excited to go home and spend four million hours building civilizations (http://just.one .more.turn). If you’ve never played the Civilization series, it’s a turn based strategy game that spans all of human history. So if you’re a history nerd and/or a strategy nerd, check it out.

Things to think on: Could We See A Muslim Starfleet Officer?

Finally, this week marked the tenth anniversary of the Sofia Coppola film Marie Antoinette, starring Kirsten Dunst. Anika, who obviously LOVES the movie, hopes to rewatch and raise a glass sometime soon.
